I grew my hair from a short afro to shoulder length keeping it chemical free for over two years. I was going on vacation and wanted something that was easy to manage while on vacation. I went to Carolyn s to have a Wave put in (Friday). By the time I got home my scalp was itching and my hair started coming out from the root and in clumps. I called Carolyn who told me she does not work on Mondays and Tuesday, she was having a delivery on Wednesday and I had to leave on my vacation. My hair continued to fall out the entire time, I lost more hair than what remained on my head. I called her when I returned as I needed her to see the damage, at which time she told me she had an appointment and had to leave the shop early. I did manage to convince her to remain in the shop until I got there, I requested a refund of my $100. She told me she couldn t do that, but she would give me free shampoos. I understand that occassionally one will have a mishap but the lease she could do is refund my money. If I paid you and you screwed up my head, what would you do with it for free. I simply dont want her touching my head again. Its been a month and my hair is still coming out. I have to live with BALD patches that she caused, and hope that they grow in, but she couldn t live with $100. I shouldn t even have to ask she should have offered me my money back. I think the product she used in my hair was probably expired and she did not do a strand test, which she should have.
