I was a cosmetology students a few years ago and I ended up quitting the beauty school because the classroom instructor was getting frustrated with me because I was further behind than everyone else and I could not do as well as they could. Hair is what we were doing at the time and I wanted to go into nails. I dropped out after 200 hours. They were upset because I got a grant. I will never go back there. The students one time died my hair red when I wanted just blonde streaks. I was so embarrassed. My mom had to fix my hair. Students just don't know what they are doing! Don't pay to go to a place where you are not going to be satisfied!

Attempted twice to get service here - given incorrect information about hours - both times that I called. Manager rude and scary, man (owner) in office communicating with her about my question in privacy of his office instead of communicating with me directly - after all, I was standing there in person.

Would never trust having anything done here as students were standing/sitting around doing nothing with no visible instruction being conducted.

May be slightly cheaper and I emphasize slightly, went to regular salon and compared prices - not that more than the beauty school. Very high prices for beauty school service from non-professionals - from the students to the management

This place is a JOKE! I never been to a place in where I'm suppose to be having a good time and feeling good, ex. getting my hair done, pedicure, and manicure. I preferred paying COUPLE OF HUNDREDS dollars more than going back to this place. Instructors arguing (making them feel like they are nobody) with students in front of customers. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! How is your students suppose to learn anything if the instructor instead of directing they just push the students out of the way and do it themselves. I understand, it's a school but what kind of school is it where the instructors talk CRAP about one student to another!

I was a student for massage. I spent over 600 hours and a few hundred dollars. The owner should be embarrassed of himself. Their Theory teacher is wonderful, and the main reason I stayed. However their A&P "teacher" did not teach nor prepare me for the state boards. They have no schedule or pace. I was a full-time student and several times I had to wait to take a test or begin a new chapter simply because a part-time student was either off that day or was running late. No matter how many times I mentioned this nothing changed. I feel very cheated. I could go on and mention several other concerns that I have, but I will not beat a dead horse. I would have never gone there having known this. I would not recommend Beauty & Massage Institute of Vero Beach to anyone.
