The Kingstowne Hair cuttery does a great job at a very reasonable price. I usually go there when I need a trim (and they can follow the style that I already have) or when I can tell them exactly what I want. They might do a nice job at giving me a new style, I just haven't tried it, as I go to my more expensive stylist for that whom I've known for years. Fahima at HC is awesome, but I have also had cuts from other girls there who are awesome, I just don't remember their names. I have not tried highlights or coloring yet, but am planning to.

So, this was my first time at any Hair Cuttery. It definitely was a "no frills" experience. The place was a tad on the dirty side. Hair was not regularly swept up and I noticed the brush being used on my hair had about 30 other people's hair in it. Why am I still giving it 3 stars? I got a pretty good hair cut for $21 plus tip - probably the same as I've gotten at $55+ hair salons. I'd go back for trims and basic styles because it's so cheap and quick - no appt. necessary and they took me right away, but if you're looking for a swankier salon experience, go elsewhere. You get what you pay for, kids.
