I was at Benin African Hair Braiding few week ago,I was very please with The service.They was very professional,the salon and the restrooms was Clean.My hair due take 6hours,I was so impress and the price was fair.The Atmosphere was so Good,and I enjoy a great movie when they are doing My hair,I will refer my friends to your,and I will come again.Thanks

She paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Tatiana is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. She referred me to another braider because she could not take me at the time. She was helpful and I left feeling that she put me in good hands with her referral.

I went to Benin(Benny's) In July 2009 and when I went there they were very unprofessional. Polite but very unprofessional, They had their children there in a play pen. I understand that getting a babysitter can be hard sometimes but, braiding hair is not something that you can do and attend toy your children at the same time. I believe I arrived at 1:00pm. I was getting Kinky Twist so the longest i should have been there was 8 hours. Eight hours from 1pm is 9pm at the latest. They kept stopping and taking care of their children. Not just taking care of their children but stopping in general. I DID NOT leave there until 12 am. I was so mad. Not to mention they have an old building that smells horrible with no working light in the bathroom. I was very pleased with my hair but not the professionalism of the business.
I decided March 2010 I would give them another try because I called all around and no one in the Petersburg, VA area would start as early as 9am on my hair. I called the lady two days before and set my appt. up at Bennys(benin). SHE SAID WHAT ABOUT 7:30am.GREAT! I am thinking because I have to work at 4pm. She said it would take 6-8 hours. No problem I still will be out in time. They moved to a new building because the old building was not up to code. Low and behold that building is old and stinky 2. She didn't start on my hair until after 8am. she said she had to sweep and clean up.(that should have been done before I got there...she should have came early or did it lastnight) I was cold the entire time.I asked for 2 people 2 do my hair because I knew I had to leave she said that was not a problem. 2 people didn't start on my hair until 3:30 pm. So of course I had 2 call in 2 work. I didn't leave until 5:00pm. They didn't stop as much b/c I told them they stopped too much last time. However another young lady came in at 8:30 wanted micro's for her little daughter. The lady (worker) informed the lady the other person would be in at 9am so she waited.. 9:30am rolled around. The lady asked is she still coming(the worker) The worker that is there called the other lady and she said she would be in at 10am. It's obvious that their customer's time is no concern of theirs. Very pleased with my hair but not the coldness or promptness of their delivery. I will definitely not be returning.Not the place if you have other things to do.(i got pixies this time)
