Paul Dalton helped me to discover that I have choices regarding how to live, and let live. My family first saw him 12 years ago because dealing with the family disease of addiction is just too much for us. Now we are back with more members of the family, and because of Covid 19, Paul works with us face to face and via telemedicine. We have found his staff to be kind, confidential, and professional. Paul truly helped me learn how to set boundaries, discover what unacceptable behavior is, and how to not accept it especially from extended family members with very strong personalities.
The services for psychiatry have been a life saver for me. I have been going 3 years and they graciously decided to see my son as well, despite his multiple issues. Our experiences have been genuine and helpful.
I do not feel like the nurse practitioner was able to explore other options (medication or alternative) for someone with hard to treat issues. I always left feeling like the "bad" patient for not responding to the prescribed treatments. It seems like if your case is not "textbook" then they are puzzled and don't know how to handle you. This is why I now drive to Lexington for my medication management. The reason it is 3 stars and not less is I have had some successes with a couple of the therapists.
The difference between here and most of the other places my family has been, is these people to seem to actually care. They are professional people and helped 3 of my family reach their goals. As a medical professional, I know the difference. For counseling, psychiatry and marriage counseling, I send all my patients here.
