My wife and I wanted to consult a nutritionist about our eating practices, particularly since my wife is a vegetarian and doesn't drink milk. We scheduled a 1-hour session with Deborah, which was very informative and helpful for us. The particulars of our case probably wouldn't be applicable to others, but Deborah's consultative style most likely would. We provided logs of our eating over several days, which Deborah examined. She then made specific suggestions as to what modifications might be advisable. She welcomed our follow-up questions and gave direct answers without belaboring anything. She also answered questions we had about specific foods (e.g., cholesterol content, and whether to avoid certain high cholesterol foods) in a reassuring and authoritative way. She also volunteered information on related topics, such as which websites are good for medical and nutritional information, and which non-fat processed foods should be avoided because chemicals are substituted for the fat. At the end of the session she invited us to e-mail her if we had any follow-up questions. Her style is clearly professional, client-centered, and accepting. We certainly will return if/when we feel we need further personalized advice. There was absolutely no pressure to become a regular (returning) client.

With the food plan and nutritional information they gave me I never feel restricted, and I'm confident that I can make healthy choices anywhere. I am going to refer everyone I know here. I absolutely love this place. I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious, which made me feel a lot safer. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. I absolutely love and respect the woman. She is very kind, caring and real! She has helped me so much...

I had an excellent experience with Deborah. She didn't just hand me a list of what to eat and what not to eat, but instead she really gets to know your lifestyle and preferences and tailors her counseling to meet your needs and health goals. I felt like she was genuinely interested in helping me and seeing me succeed and I highly recommend her as a dietician.

I talked to her a lot when I was in high school, training to be a pole vaulter and professional ballet dancer. I needed to get in shape fast before I started, and she knew just what to do. She also then helped me STAY in shape through the off seasons, as well as stay in my prime when I needed to be working the hardest. I had to eat a lot of food because I was burning so much energy, but I had to eat all the right kinds of foods, and at a good price, :P
so thanks so much!
(im still in contact with her now! shes really a super lady:))

I am a student from the Claremont Colleges, and have been seeing Deborah regularly for several months. She has been SO HELPFUL and understanding, and really helps me overcome my personal issues using effective and personalized advice. She isn't into fads, just effective nutrition counseling health awareness. She is also super nice -- she can definitely hold a conversation. Deborah has been integral to my successful college career.
