I visited Dr. Farshey for a root canal that my dentist had been unable to handle due to a continuing infection. Before he began, Dr. Farshey took time to explain all options including cost and likelihood of success. He included options that he would not perform, and thus would not benefit financially from. The procedure itself was relatively painless, with Dr. Farshey taking all precautions to do the job well, assisted by a wonderful staff. In fact, his office and staff generally make a visit warm and welcoming.

I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. I was satisfied with my visit and feel that it was time and money well spent. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. I couldn't believe how great their office looked. It was very obvious that they took pride in the office's appearance. It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen.

I am so grateful for Dr. Reza Farshey. He fixed a root canal done by another endodontist, in which only 1 1/2 of the 3 roots had been filled. I was still having pain from 9 months before after the previous root canal. I had been told by the previous endodontist and a dentist that I would never be able to chew hard things on that side of my mouth. I had been advised that either an apicoectomy or removal of the tooth was necessary. Dr. Farshey did an exploratory exam with his state of the art equipment and determined that he could redo the root canal, getting to all the roots. He completed the work a couple of days ago. I am a terrible patient, hyperventilating whenever a needle is brought near me. He and his staff were able to keep me calm enough to do the work, a feat in itself. Although I could have opted for sedation, the setup and cost of it persuaded me to do without it. All was fine. Dr. Farshey's staff are so confident, capable and caring that it helped immeasurably. I am so grateful to Dr. Farshey for his excellent work and demeanor, in saving my tooth, and would recommend him to anyone.

I hate the dentist so much that I avoided any dental work including routine cleanings for many many years. Ultimately, I ended up being referred to Dr. Farshey for a root canal. I was extremely anxious and nervous and asked to be completely knocked out-- anesthesia and all! He assured me that would not be necessary and talked me through the whole procedure. He was so confident in his work that he promised if I felt anything he would not charge me a penny. And he was right! He suggested I clear my whole afternoon so I could rest but I was feeling great. He's an extremely sweet, caring, and attentive doctor. The staff of nurses and receptionists are also wonderful and accommodating. The office is impeccably clean and peaceful, which you don't always find at even the "best" dentists. As far as cost, it is comparable to that of any dentist in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area. However, the overall satisfaction is totally worth it.
