Went to this vet yesterday. We come every summer but this was the first time we needed a vet for our dog. Everyone was very nice, got an appointment the same day. The vet, Dr. Houlihan was very good. She obviously cared about our dog. Everything was top-notch. I would recomend Long Valley Vet to anyone.

When your pet had to stay in overnight care did this veterinarian call you with follow-ups when they promised they would?
Absolutely, they usually call more times than they say they promised. I was fully informed the whole time.
Was this veterinarian compassionate when your pet was sick?
They were incredible. They consoled me and even gave me a hug.
Was this animal hospital's staff friendly?
Yes, they went above and beyond
Did you feel that this veterinarian's pricing was fair?
It was some of the best pricing I have seen
Were the examining rooms clean and free of odor?
Yes, they were immaculate.

My mom and I took in my favorite kitty. Both the vet and her staff were so gentle and caring, both with my cat and with my mom and myself. It was clear to my mom and I that they really cared about the animals. The vet did a complete exam and told us that she had diabetes. She was about 12 y/o, and she lived with my mom as I lived in a place that would not allow pets at the time. The vet went over every possible option and all of the costs. We ended up taking her home to think about it. (I lived 3 hrs. from my mom.) Ozzie, the cat, became very ill, and my mom took her back in. The vet said that she needed to go to sleep. She had lived a good life, and she had been with me through some very bad health issues. My mom said that the vet and her staff cried with her, and she later sent us both a condolence card. I have never had a vet send out a condolence card before. I would recommend this vet with 10 stars if I could!
