I have never had such a terrible experience. I brought my 45 lb dog in for a toe trimming and ear cleaning. They wouldn't let me go in the back with him, which should have been a warning for me, but they seemed so nice and polite. Half an hour later they came out with my terrified dog, who was covered in his own urine and feces. They joked about how it took 3 techs to hold him down for a toe trimming... this had never happened with him before. They seemed to think it was funny that my dog was terrified and excreted on himself. What kind of place is this? They joke about holding the animals down? I will never go back there again.
My dog also had a yeast infection in his ears. It cost $50 just for the honor of him seeing the vet, who I never met because I wasn't allowed back there, and then $30 for the smear on the slide to "diagnose" yeast, and then $20 to clean his ears... what a rip off, and why wouldn't they let me go in to see the vet with my dog?
Stay away from the Barrington Animal Hosptial.
