Do not take your animal here!! They are by far the worst vet ever!!! Dr. Snyder diagnosed my cat with Hyperthyroidism about a 1 ½ years ago. I took her back a number of times. They even made me come in, when I called about concerns about my cat not taking her medicine. And when I took her in, Dr. Snyder told me to just crush up her pill in her food!! She had blood tests done and her thyroid levels checks multiple times. Dr. Snyder told me the same thing ever time I went, that all of this might be caused by cancer. He never really did anything and my cat still wasn't gaining any weight. One night my cat couldn't walk and was falling over. I called Apple's Country emergency line, no one answered. I took her to the emergency vet, where they did a lot of tests (some of the same ones done at apple country vet) The emergency vet diagnosed her with chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure and arthritis on top of the hyperthyroidism!! All of this didn't happen over night and should have been figured out by the tests Dr. Snyder did! I switched vets the next day. The new vet, I started going to put her at 10 years old not 6 years old (which was on her record) Dr. Snyder would have killed my cat if I continued to take her to him. To top it all off, there prices are out of control!!!!!! $75 for just the visit!! (its $95 for the emergency vet and $44 for my new vet) Apple Country's blood testing was $90, when the emergency vet was $60!!! I can go on and on with the ridiculous prices and horrible service!!! If you love your pet and don't want to be broke do not take your animal here!

When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I don't feel like I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. They always seem like they're going to give up on me. I have never seen a coupon for this provider, nor do they ever have specials or promotions going on. I don't think they like to help people save money. Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating.

I had been a long standing client for over 6 years at Apple Country. I suffered through the excessive staff turnover (there was one poor girl there for years and finally I think she threw the towel in), excessive wait times and lack of response to phone calls. Twice I was waiting to see Dr. Snyder and could here him outside on his tractor while I waited for over 35 minutes the first time and 45 minutes the second time. I finally had to switch vets recently.

My dog had a tumor removed. I had it sent out for histopathology. I was worried about the results. I waited about 14 days. I hadn't heard anything from Dr. Snyder so I called the office. I spoke with the receptionist who had no idea what was going on. My phone call wasn't returned. I called the next day. I spoke with a different receptionist and had to repeat the same information to her. I was told that they had the results but the Dr. hadn't reviewed them yet. I didn't receive a call back that day either. That Friday they were closed and had to wait until Saturday. I was furious. I called the office on Saturday and was told Dr. Snyder wasn't working. On Monday I called. Dr. Snyder was in the office but had his other vet call with the results.

I wondered why I paid so much money to have this lump removed and I couldn't even speak with my dog's veterinarian for 5 minutes to receive the results. Apparently he doesn't care about his clients or patients.

I have since switched my records to a new hospital.

They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster. Unlike other veterinarians I've been too, I have never seen them appear overwhelmed by too many pets. They are extremely organized and make sure the vet has plenty of time to see each patient for as long as necessary. They almost always have a promotion or special going on., I always get some sort of discount. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. They've never left me waiting. The veterinarian and friendly staff educated me on what I could do better to help keep my pets healthy and happy and really stressed the importance of taking care of my pets teeth. I left with a better understanding of proper pet health and found their recommendations to be incredibly helpful. My pet was seen by Dr. Heidi Wendel she was very friendly and well educated. I really enjoyed that she took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my dog's eye infection and why she was choosing the particular treatment plan. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, I would recommend them to all friends and family.
