My toy poodle, Ange, has been seeing Dr. Tom for 9 years. She has health issues and when we need him he is there. He has taken his time to study the problem and come up with a plan. The entire staff is very friendly and listens to your issues. I, also, use them for her grooming. This is especially nice in the event they notice something is amiss. Dr. Tom will see her and address the issue.. I highly recommend Dr. Tom and his staff.

I took my dog here to be spayed . It was so refreshing to go to a vet that charged you exactly was reviewed with you and not have any added charges upon picking my dog up. The hospital was so clean, and the staff was so good with my dog. She was very scared and the calmed her right down and made me feel good about leaving her that day. When I picked her up later that day, they took a lot of time to explain everything to me and make sure I understood how to use my meds for her. I will refer all my friends to this hospital, also the program they have for spaying and neutering is very reasonable. Check them out!

Avoid this vet!! They lie about charges and over charge, they have NO compassion for dogs. They make a dog suffer for hours until they feel like caring for them. Horrible staff. Never even saw the vet!! All they care about is money. They called to ask if they could do something that would cost money but not to tell us how our baby is doing. Avoid them!! Call and file a complaint with the state!! 717.783.7134

Talk about a great place! I've been coming to the clinic for 20 years now. I've had only the best service and care as can be possible. I've called in the middle of the night, come in impromptu, and they've done things for me that I wouldn't go for....which saved my cat later! And I had taken it to another clinic only to find that true as proof. I've told my friends at work about the place and they are now happy that their dogs are getting bettter care and are treated as they're also the patient. Dr. Tom always explains things well and I go home knowing my wife won't yell at me wondering why Misty needs meds or her shot. He saved my buddy Mikes dogs life after being hit by a car and then even later fixed his knee when the other Dr nearby couldn't do it, and wouldn't do it in the middle of the night. I'm writing this review for my extended family, friends and people at work.

NEVER AGAIN!!!! For years I took our dogs here for basic yrly shots & check ups. But never had a serious issue that needed taken care of...until now. My mid-aged dog had been dealing with what I thought was allergies on and off for a while. He would get sick for a day or 2 and then be fine for wks. He suddenly took a turn for the worse and started sneezing and coughing a lot, with green mucus discharge from nose.
Took to SVH. Asked to have x-rays done of his chest & head. I had a gut feeling it was an infection. When I went in to get him the next day. The vet informed me the x-rays showed nothing, but he had a cracked tooth that would eventually become a problem. He suggested that I have that pulled in the near future. I asked about source of infection. He said he wasn't sure. but they could always run more tests. I got a bad feeling about the whole situation. Paid my $562 bill cash and left.
36 hrs later my dog was in horrible shape. wasn't eating, didn't want to move. I called SVH and spoke to staff. I knew it was respiratory due to his raspy breathing. The lady on the phone pulled up his chart and assured me that his tooth was the reason for all his issues. really? a tooth effects his breathing? she said I could bring him in for more tests or get Benadryl and try that for a week. A few days later when I saw he was getting worse, I rushed him to a vet an hour away. They put him on IV fluids right away and requested his med records. SVH didn't release his info for 6 HOURS. the 'new' vet called down to speak to SVH manager about my dogs case. manager blamed his condition on me. saying I refused blood work & was having financial hardship. they made me pay $11 for a copy of x-rays I HAD ALREADY paid for to get the copy up to 'new' vet. the 'new' vet where my dog was at became upset. she had taken her own set of x-rays and held them up beside his original x-rays. they were identical. my dog had megaesophagus with pneumonia & sinusitis. 'new' vet said it was clear as day on the x-rays and she doesn't understand how SVH missed it. He was admitted for 3 days, constant around the clock care...but died.
I was more than happy to pay the $614 bill to the second vet. They gave me answers, heard my concerns, and truly cared about my dogs failing health, unlike SVH. How dare SVH blame me for refusing care and having financial hardship. I'm lucky I had the $1,100 to spend on my dog. He was my boy!!! So angry I can't even talk to them about their negligence & incompetence.

This hospital is founded on MONEY only. There is no Emotional care or Compassion for either you or your pet. I have spent years trusting this facility even after the death of one of my dogs to over immunization. But now they have caused another problem with my current dog and would not even apologize for their negligence. I was issued medication without being given any warning to possible side effects. The side effects were horrible. If you have furry loved ones in your family, please trust your heart and do not use this medical business. Their answer to the side effect problem was, PAY to bring the dog in for an exam and we will see if we can do anything. MONEY MONEY MONEY...HOW SAD!

I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was only allowed to stay with my pet for part of the appointment, which I really didn't like very much because it gives my pet anxiety to be in a room filled with strangers. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously.

Did you feel that this veterinarian's pricing was fair?
It wasn't too bad, but I'm not sure I got my money's worth.
