I don't think any pet actually likes the vet. We have had good experiences here though. One of my dogs had to have surgery a few years back. We had to leave him overnight which was heartbreaking to me but he was treated very well. The Dr. called during and right after surgery and his overnight stay was great!! The same dog, a a couple of years later got really, really sick. They took us right in and diagnosed him immediately. Again, unfortunately, he was very sick and had to stay several nights. I was called every day (if I didn't beat them to it). They encouraged us to come and visit him too, which I was very grateful. When we went to see him, he was not caged up, he was walking around in the back among the workers. They all called him by name an pet him. He seemed happy, wagging his tail. They all told me how good he was and how much they loved him. It was very heartwarming to know my dog was taken care of and treated like a member of their family. I was very impressed with the care he received.
I also had to have a dog put to sleep. That was a terrible thing to go through but everyone was so kind and sweet. They were very gentle with our old dog and explained exactly what would happen and never rushed us. After he actually died, we were allowed to stay in the room as long as we needed. It was a horrible experience that was made a little more bearable by the kind treatment of our dog and us. I have used Munford Animal Hospital for about 9 years and have always been pleased. As long as things don't change. we will continue to bring our dogs here. Thanks for a job well done with feeling!!
