I have been a client for many years. I rescue older dogs so I generally need vet care often. And The Rumore Clan are awesome!!! God has special protection on the pets and owners for choosing The Rumore Clinic. From the time you check in to the time the vet techs see you and your pet you are treated so much care and compassion. Dr. James has a protocol set in place which includes expressing your dogs anal gland. In my case, I had 3 dogs that had anal gland issues. So, I didn't have to ask them the COST is DIRT CHEAP compared to the VETS in LAFAYATTE!!!!! I don't have a dog right now because I had to put my baby down in Aug 2016. I couldn't take Starla's being in agony. This was
Sunday, Aug, 21st 2016 @ around 6:30pm. In desperation I called the HOME of Dr. Rumore and explained I desperately needed to put Starla down. "The guy on the called me back" told me to come in. I got there and it happened to be Dr. Chris Rumore, Dr. James Rumore's son who was now a vet for almost a year. The EVENT of putting STARLA DOWN was EXTREMELY PAINFUL as one would expect. Dr. CHRIS WAS AMAZING...HE WAS TRULY JUST LIKE HIS DAD. GOD WAS PRESENT IN HIM DURING THE LAST FEW MOMENTS I SPENT WITH MY STARLA. I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW THAT YOUNG MAN BECAME A PART OF WHO I AM AND I REALIZED HOW SPECIAL ACADIA ANIMAL MEDICAL CLINIC REALLY IS. If you are a Godly person looking for Godly doctors, this clinic is for you. I'm sorry I had to make this review so long but I had to share my love and appreciation for the Rumore's and Dr. Batt and the rest of the crew. I wish I could work there for free! lol!!

Best vet within 50 miles. Dr Rumore goes out of his way for you. We drive from Lafayette and I have been using him for over 20 years.

When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. Their office was kind of gross. I was scared I was going to catch something from being in the office. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary. Do not board your dog here. My dog died while under Dr. Rumore's "supervision." Our new vet has raised questions that causes me to be suspicious over the circumstances of my dog's death at Dr. Rumore's.

They have the greatest designated area for pets to go to the bathroom here, which is extremely convenient. I never have to worry about scouting out a place for my dog to go pee and It is so well kept too. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. This veterinarian was extremely friendly, and paid attention to both me and my pet. They really made the extra effort to make us feel welcome and at home. They would never suggest that I buy something that wasn't necessary, and never pressured me. They were always very considerate and professional.
