Horrible...this vet owns an after hours clinic, called "After Hours" and charged me $109.75 to put an injured squirrel to sleep! Another clinic in the area has done it for free. When I called to speak to Dr. Hunter about this he wasn't man enough to return my calls, but sent me a grammatical-error ridden letter instead letting me know that I wasn't to use their clinic anymore. All this because I disputed a charge?!? A man who owns 3 businesses and who also made 5 GRAND off me last year, couldn't be bothered to refund me less than $110. No, thanks. You couldn't pay me to take my animals to his boarding facility (Premier Boarding) or After Hours again!

To provide any type of Rating other than POOR for Dr. Hunter is given him more than I would like to give, but the system is making me rate at least 'POOR'.

My pregnant Yorkie had been in labor for 2 hours before arriving at Dr. Hunter's clinic and I wasted another 2 hours at his inadequate clinic, before leaving and going to the Pulaski Veterinary Emer Clinic off Maumelle Blvd.

He & his staff are rude, heartless, and the most unprofessional group of inidividuals I have ever encountered. Dr. Hunter has clearly forgotten his heart in the profession he is within, and should retire or think about a career change.

He would not perform an emer c-section on my Yorkie, he said he would do it when 'she' (the dog) was ready which would be 1 to 2 hours. However, the x-rays clearly showed all three puppies were breeched and one puppy was VERY large. My Yorkie was vomiting and was very tired from pushing, she vomitied in his presence and I caught it in my hands. When I asked Dr. Hunter for a sink, he gave me a single dry piece of paper towel, no sink, no soap, no anti-bacterial wash or even a garbage can. Since Dr. Hunter was not going to see to my dog for another hour or two, we left.

Ten minutes after we left and was enroute to the Pulaski Vet Emer Clinic off Maumelle Blvd a sack and a puppy was visible and protruding. I called the Pulaski Vet and let them know the situation, when we got there, they took my Yorkie straight back and started to work on her immediately. Dr. Ray said there was no way my Yorkie could have delivered the VERY large puppy naturally, that a c-section was essential and immediate.

Dr. Hunter also sent me a note saying I was no longer welcome at his clinic ever again. Hummm...let me think...will I ever take any of my babies back to his inadequate clinic...NO.

Oh, and in his post discharge notes, he left out some details such as his insistance that he would do the surgery in one or two hours whenever my dog was ready, he also failed to mention that she was vomiting and dehydrating.
