I was sent to the hosp several times over 2 years for diff MRI's, X-rays & CT scans and all reports said I had hips in better shape than most folks my age. I changed dr's and they did a soft tissue CT with contrast medium and "ACCIDENTLY" discovered I had AVN...both of my hip bones were dead. IF they had the test read by an X-ray technician instead of whoever they could grab, like maybe a janitor, my hip problem might have been caught in time and I could have had a vein graft instead of a double hip replacement. NO NURSES, mostly cared for by nurses aids w/ no training, some no English at all! Nothing but probs, hospital is dirty, staff REFUSED to sanitize hands when asked, stated they did it in the hallway, VERY POOR PAIN MANAGEMENT, 3 days in hospital and not once offered a toothbrush, wash cloth, etc., no towels/washcloths in bathroom, urine collection "hat" in toilet was allowed to overflow by 3 different patients, dirty tp touched us when we used toilet {staff were asked to empty it but didn't happen in 3 days}, room not cleaned for 3 days, no sheet change, used ice machine on me against medical and equipment directions...too much to list, if you value your life, health or family either stay w/ patient 24/7 or run for your life in opposite direction. Pharmacy {outpatient} filled scrips for 4 diff kinds of statins & never caught that I was being OD'D---max should be 80 mgs a day, they filled scripts for 1600 & never warned me. Nerve and muscle damage.
