I recently. Purchased 2 items from Health Care Medical and when I got home and placed the bath transfer bench in place I discovered it was too big and did not fit. Tried to return it and was told they would NOT take it back since it was a purchased item. It had never been used. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! I recommend you don’t either.

Just got home from hospital and they delivered a defective bedside commode to my home. Gave them an opportunity to come out and fix it but they refused and wanted me to bring it in. Will never use this service again.

In July of 2019, a home health agency ordered a walker and a commode chair for my husband. A gentleman delivered them, already assembled. The next day, I called Health Care Medical, stating that the walker was rather heavy, and could I exchange for a lightweight aluminum one. I was told that was the ONLY kind they had and that was the one I bought. The commode chair wasn't needed until Thursday, October 24, 2019. That's when I discovered the chair was wobbly. Afraid that weight may cause something to bend or break, I called Health Care Medical stating the issue. I requested that someone come out that day to adjust it only to be told that since it was purchased in July, it was mine, and they don't make house calls. I could bring it in the next day and they would adjust it. I told the woman on the phone that I could not leave my husband, and we needed to use the commode chair THAT day. She insisted there was nothing they could do. I spoke to her supervisor who emphasized that since I bought it in July, it was mine. After expressing my extreme upset that we just got home from the hospital, just cut the tag off of it, and discovered the wobble, she suggested I get a family member or neighbor to bring it in and they would look at it. I then spoke to the manager, who tried to sound empathetic but gave me the same garbage. "If it were a hospital bed, we would come out and adjust it, but we don't make house calls for walkers or commode chairs." I stressed the predicament of not being able to leave and asked if she could please make an exception. She said she was sorry, but I could bring it in tomorrow and they would look at it. Also said I could get a neighbor or family member to bring it in. She then went back to the "you bought it in July" thing. I asked what did that have to do with getting it adjusted and was told that it was bought in July and I had only 10 days to return it. I told her I didn't want to return it, just get it adjusted. The final nail in the coffin was when she said she could send someone out tomorrow, but there would be a $75 charge. The message to me was they had already gotten their money and didn't intend to stand behind their product. By the way, the instructions tag on the commode chair stated that after assembly, be sure to check for wobbliness. Their fail became my burden. This is not acceptable customer service.

The staff that day that I came on 11/7/2018 to get a pair of forearm crutches (Drive Medical model number 10405) were very friendly. That's a plus in today's business world. However, the reason for my low rating is because the crutches that were given to me were for a Tall Adult (70" to 78" or 5' 10" to 6' 6"). I am 5' 8" tall. My height was verified to the assistant when she asked me.
I wasn't fitted there for them nor shown any correct way to use them at all. Just given to me. I adjusted the crutches all the way up when I got home and got used to how to properly operate them, yet they were still too high for me. I went to the Drive Medical website and found out that I actually needed a Drive Medical model number 10403 Forearm Crutches, of which you DO NOT CARRY, which is for 'regular' height adults at 60" to 74" or 5' 0" to 6' 2".
My question to this is why hasn't anyone noticed from your supplier of those that the ones you receive from them and sell to your customers are actually for for "tall adults" at a minimum of 5' 10" up to a maximum of 6' 6" tall?
