I just became my mother's medical power of attorney. Her home care company Apria, is horrible in service. I called their call center to reorder a 50 foot extension hose for her nasal cannula. The representative, I could barely understand her language. When I asked her for a 50 foot length of extension hosing, she asked me (how many do you want), and I was like how long are each of them? Suffice to say, she was clueless, so I said send me 10 of them, thinking maybe that way I'll be ensured to get what I asked for. Then I said we need some nebulizer's so she can take her inhaled Respiratory medications, again, this Philippines based call center, was like (what is that?). Now looking for another company.
This is the most inefficient company that I have ever dealt with. They have had my husband's prescription for ten days - I have called the doctor, the Apria office in Cape Girardeau (by the way good luck with getting them on the phone - it rolls over to a voice automated system), and I have called my insurance company. My insurance company assures me all the company has to do is call them. Apria brags on a 10 day turnaround - in today's technology that is shameful. I have been promised a phone call - no less than 6 times and have not been called once. Snail mail is a ten day turnaround - with email, fax, and phone - ten days is a record that this company should be ashamed of. On day seven, we received a phone call from the Phillipines, assuring us that it would only be ten more days! I am looking at my phone and after 37 phone calls - and no connections to the Cape Girardeau office - I am wondering why they have someone sitting at the counter in the building? Their customer service is appalling! Do not use this company!
