It was an honor and privilege to have been on the Canopy Cove staff as primary therapist/family therapist for six years. (I recently retired from Canopy Cove.)
Canopy Cove has an excellent staff of highly skilled professionals who are there to help and guide the clients on the road to their recovery.
I found that clients’s treatment was individualized to their needs and treatment focus.
In addition, the program is very comprehensive and offers many treatment modalities including equine therapy, art therapy, body awareness and movement, and spirituality.
As a family therapist I was impressed with the focus on weekly family therapy sessions and family education.
I highly recommend Canopy Cove if you are struggling with an eating disorder or have a family member who needs treatment.

I researched several places before deciding on Canopy Cove. I wanted to do a review because I hope it will encourage someone else to be brave enough to get treatment! I was overwhelmed looking so here are the 3 main reasons I chose Canopy Cove. First they offer Christian based treatment , 2 because they had lots of experience..like 20 years or something..way more than other places that I looked at and 3 because everyone they treat has an eating disorder ..All I can tell you is if you're ready for help for a good change then go because I don't think I could have done it on my own. I learned so much about myself and I feel like I have the tools I need to deal with stress that life may throw at me! They helped me get my life back. I feel like I'm living for the first time ever. It wasn't always easy but it was SO worth it! The life I have now is SO much better than the life I had before. Don;t give up..you can do it too!

I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely
had doubts about their qualifications. They were far to close-minded to get any sort of outside advice, even though they knew they should. I was hoping to see someone that considered my safety and consulted past professionals. They placed me in too high of a level of care, basically committing insurance fraud. They should not have ethically billed my insurance company for that. It is very hard to leave this facility even though it's not locked and they do not have a hold on you. I was denied legal counsel and was not allowed to make any phone calls while there even when I told them I was leaving. My experience was truly awful.
