I have been bringing my pets to Monument for 7 years now and I could not be more pleased. Both Doctors have taken such great care of my dog, cat, and rabbits. My dog is very old and has many issues, my cat is a trouble maker and likes to get into things that she shouldn't, and not many vets see rabbits. Dr. Hurtado and Dr. Dennis are so knowledgeable and together they are like a Super Vet. I've had almost everything done there, from surgery to euthanasia, and they have always given me peace of mid that my pets are getting the care they need. This is also the cleanest Veterinary Hospital I have ever been to. Every time I go there I can hardly tell it is a hospital for animals because it does not smell like there are any animals there. I have always recommended Monument to my friends and family.

Dr and his staff have always been very caring to me and my pets. Have known and used his services for 15 + yrs. Have been to other vet services but always came back to Dr. Hurtado

I used to love this clinic until the vet who used to see my cats stopped working there. Dr Hurtado is a good vet but the others I would not recommend. Last week I took my sick cat there and the vet who saw him prescribed more than twice the dosage of the antibiotic that works for him. I didn't noticed that right away (I assumed they were giving him the same he'd taken before). So after three dosages of the med with my cat only getting sicker and sicker after each one of them (he would throw it up 10 minutes after I gave it to him and keep gagging and vomiting, and I didn't know why), I decided to take him to a different vet - and she noticed that the amount was unusually high but I insisted he had been given that antibiotic before so I didn't think he had any issues with that med (which he doesn't but didn't know it was now in such a high dosage!)... so when I got home, I compared the new bottle of antibiotics to what he had been given before from previous records and I panicked. It could have killed my kitty! No wonder he was getting worse after he started on this medication! The vet not only didn't have an answer to any of my questions, which made me not trust that she was a competent vet, she prescribed something that made my cat sicker and I had to spend a lot of money to take him to another vet and treat his stomach that was in bad shape after this mistake. And turned out, he didn't need any antibiotics to begin with. So, if you're going to see Dr Hurtado, I would say you'll be fine taking your pet there. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it. I'll never go back there and all my friends who are customers there (and who told me about the place) are now changing vets too.

I do not usually bother to rate products or services I have received. I quess I am not plugged in to the social community very much. However, I feel compelled to note the wonderful service and care I have received from Dr Hurtado and his staff at Monument East. While they are far from the cheapest veterinary care in Tucson you absolutely want the best for a beloved pet. Dr Hurtado and his staff always made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Dr Hurtado is the only medical professional I have ever known who has freely given me his personal cell phone number when I was dealing with a very sick pet. I am very satisfied with the quality of care I have received at Monument East Veterinary Hospital. Highly recommend.

When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. Of course at times vets have to do unpleasant procedures on the pets, but they always demonstrate care and compassion. I really trust them and so do my pets. They have a very good professional reputation. I know that I'm under the care of an expert.
