Dr Grant is a bit demeaning; he often gives patients the impression that he is doing them a favor. He can be very sweet and talkative, but he can also be a total jerk.
I feel sorry for all of the professionals that are paying him a yearly fee to enroll in his 'executive program'. In addition to their typical office visit/insurance costs, they pay him a huge annual fee just to have easier access to him. Within 3 years he'll start treating them the same way he treats his current, long-standing patients.
Yes, he's "small town," and has gone to patient's homes in the past but it won't be long before he no longer does that.
Yes, he answers the phone at times. But it's not impressive if he's short and puts a patient on hold indefinitely. It would be much more impressive if an answering service took the call and left him a message. It certainly didn't give me a warm & fuzzy feeling to know that I was so insignificant to him that in 12 minutes of being on hold, he didn't return to the phone to even say, "hold longer." I just hung up.
I WILL NOT be returning to see him.
I WILL be filing a complaint with HIPPA because he refused to allow me access to my medical records.
His billing company coded a procedure incorrectly and insurance didn't cover it. This is the 2nd time his billing company did this, but his money is more important than your money.
The first time this happened, it took his office over a year to reimburse me for their mistake. Between ever-changing staff and him using a billing company (ie more red tape), but I calmly waited while they went through the charges over and over with each new receptionist (and listened to him complain about ins companies and the government!). They finally reimbursed me but I never got an apology, interest, a sucker-nothing.
How quickly they forgot my patience, understanding and inconvenience.
Not again, though.
