$800 charge for an ear infection without prior sign off or any explanation of what was going to be done (without looking in the ear my dog was given an expensive sedative as step one of the visit). I was told to pick him up at 2PM and when I received him he was soaking wet from ice cold water on a forty degree day and still under the influence of the sedative. I got him home and he couldn't move due to the sedative and it took nearly 2 hours for it to wear off.

Prices for everything are off the charts and when you leave to go to a quality vet it's like pulling teeth to get his complete paperwork. Stay away if you are smart.

I moved to Frisco in 2019 and my Maltese baby was very sick from a procedure done two months prior to moving here from Florida. I had no recommendations and Dr Henson was with walking distance to my house. Dr. Henson was the most informative, honest and experienced veterinary that I have ever had, and I have had pets for over 40 years. He and his staff especially Lisa was so caring and compassionate about what I was going through and although my baby did not overcome the staff infection caused from non-sanitary instruments used to clean his teeth in Florida, I could not have chosen a better vet. I since have a new baby and almost lost him due to seizures and Dr. Henson pulled him through and he is as health and happy as can be, Dr. Henson is experienced and straight forward and will tell you what the best care is for your pet and sometimes that is not always what we want to hear. I would rather know the truth from some as experienced as him than someone that will keep you coming back over and over again just to get your money and has no care in the world for your pet. This review has taken me almost 3 years to write because of the emotional trauma I went through with my Gordon and is long overdue. Thank you Dr. Henson for being just who your are, a outstanding vet and person. Lisa, you are one of the most genuine and caring lady that I have ever met. Thank you for all of your enccouraging words and caring, thoughtfulness and love you showed me during this very difficult time. I will never seek care for my babies anywhere else.

I cannot warn people away from this veterinary practice strongly enough. Dr Hansen is cold and uncaring with the animals and owners alike. We took our blind Cocker Spaniel in for an ear infection. After 2 visits with no improvement, we were told to "drop her off". When I asked why...thinking they were too busy and would try to squeeze her in...I was told Dr Hansen would have to sedate her to do an ear exam. WHAT??? Never, ever have I heard of such a thing and that's exactly what he would have done if we had not insisted on an appointment.At the appointment we were told she had wax or "debris" in the ear canal and needed a dental...when she had had her teeth cleaned within the past year. So we agreed, made the appointment and came to pick her up only to be horrified to have a blind and DEAF dog. When speaking to Dr Hansen...who was rude and argumentative...he said he had no choice but to "pack" her ears with medication and her hearing would return in a few days when the medicine absorbed. When several days passed with no improvement, I called back and Dr Hansen raised his voice practically yelling at me and told me it would take time. That was it for me. I went in search of a second opinion. The new vet...a specialist...told us that she had received a toxic combination of drugs resulting in hearing loss. He is hopeful she will regain some of her hearing and she has...if you shout or the noise is very loud. It is so sad and unnecessary. And it's now been a month and a half and we have yet to hear from Dr Hansen...no follow up, no explanation, no apology, nothing. He could care less. PLEASE take your animals to someone else who will provide the care your animal deserves!!!

He is the best. I have lived in Frisco all of my life and I have been taking my pets to him for over 20 years and I would never consider taking them to anyone else. One of my pets went into paralysis she lost feeling in both of her back legs and she could not walk she was dragging both back legs behind her.We were devastated she's our baby she was only 4 years old when this happened she was in so much pain. We took her to him and she stayed with him for a week and at the end of the week he had her standing up again on all four legs. She is now 6yrs. old and full of life. I feel like if I had taken her somewhere else that we wouldn't of had her with us today. We appreciate him so much he is ALWAYS there for us whatever our needs are and we know we can depend on him. He is all about the pets not the money. I have other pets that got really sick at other times and again all is doing well because of him. We can't thank him enough for all he has done and still doing for all our pets. He is 100 percent dedicated to what he does. His staff is so helpful as well. I always feel welcome every time I go there it's just such a great place I cannot say it enough. Our family our pets Thank You!!!

My dog who was 12 had uterus surgery and was told she did NOT have cancer died 2 weeks later from breast cancer. The cancer was so bad and painful that she was shaking and screaming in pain and he did NOTHING!! He is a disrespectful pig towards women. I called three times and left messages regarding her shaking and her pain level. Never received a call back. At her follow-up appt he yelled at me and said he did not have time for all my questions for they were busy and short staffed. I asked him to be honest with us prior to surgery if it was worth it and if not then it was time to let her go. Please do not give us false hope. He lied to us while he smiled and swiped our credit card. My precious dogs final days were horrible! She lost mobility in her back legs due to the cancer and stopped eating. When I called his office to let them know of her passing the lady at the front desk said "okie dokie!" I starting shaking and could not stop crying. The vet that assisted with her final moments was in disbelief what Dr. Hansen allowed to happen to my dog. He needs to loose his license!!

my appointments never get canceled last minute, They are extremely reliable. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. Wow is all I can say about them. I have seen some vets become callused and unemotional but you will not find that here. The veterinarian and staff are extremely friendly and treat pets as if they are a part of the family. I could really tell how much they love animals. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them.
