I am quite familiar with this facility. If you really have problem stay the heck out of here! I did about 2 years of court ordered IOP here and even checked myself into their 3 week in house program. I kept drinking the ENTIRE time, with only one dirty UA which was the only glimmer of competence I encountered. Their in house treatment wasnt just a joke, I watched in horror as they did their level best to ruin the lives of a couple of the other patients. for my experience it didnt matter as much because I was circeling the drain back then and I kind of wanted to die anyway. suffice to say they didnt help me on any level.
What schocked me was that one of the other clients told everyone, counselors inclued, that he had no intention of getting clean and was only there to please his girlfriend. But he was self commited so he recieved his graduation certificate while another gentlemen who was there because his ex-wife had fataly overdosed in his living room, and he simply wanted to be certain that he could keep custody of thier 6 year old. He had a very typical drinking habit of a six pack or less in the evenings and it was clear to the rest of us that he was the only one of us that didnt need to be there. Rather than let him get back to his career and his mortgage and caring for his son they demanded that he enter a 6 month in house program. As I said, Their level best to ruin him. they did this because they had the leverage of his childs custody and he had to do as he was told.
When I graduated I walked straight to the grocery store and got hammered. That was 7 years ago. Ive been sober for six years now and aquired an AA degree with a thrilling career. I could never have done it WITH their help.

They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. I wasn't too impressed with their office, I could tell they didn't take much pride in it's appearance. They had a few different appointment times available but none were perfect for my schedule. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I would never recommend them to anyone. They were terrible. In my opinion this place is just a money mill for state workers that really have no clue at to the needs of their clients. You are charged for a session if you don't reschedule on time. Your councilor will not reschedule if they are unable to commit to the scheduled meeting. They just shuffle you off to another councilor that has no knowledge or experience with your case. This is quite inappropriate, unethical and subprofessional in my eyes. I feel it is a method they use to ensure they get every cent they can out of their clients. Nothing is ever gained when meeting someone you have never met for a mere thirty minutes. they basically scan your file and ask if if you have had any changes or have made any progress. They do not offer any council or value to the meeting. Just a simple way for them to keep the money rolling in. Beware of this place. I feel their practices are sub-par fringing on the edge of illegal. I think the Better Business Bureau should take a close look at them. But of course they are state funded as well so I wouldn't really expect much from them. an outside watchdog group would do much better at exposing their unethical practices.
