I was referred to Heart Care of Waterford by my primary care physician. I should have known it would be trouble within the first few minutes. Two patients in the waiting room had been there for several hours and had not been called in. It seems somehow, they lost their sign in. There was quite a show for about 10 minutes.

Fast forward a bit after my 90 minute wait in the waiting room and there was again a long wait in the examination room. One technician from Canada was the ONLY redeeming point in this office.

At the end of my four and a half hour visit, I was asked what pharmacy I used and that they were calling in my prescriptions. I waited a day before I sent someone to pick them up as they should be ready by this time. After a 1.5 hour drive, the person I sent to pick this up was told there were no prescriptions waiting. I called Dr Milford's office and they put me into his assistant's voicemail and she would not be back for 4 hours. I called back & complained about the wait and they again put in automation hell. The attitude of people answering the phones in that office is along the lines of “call someone who cares”.

By this time I’ve gone past mildly annoyed to on the verge of irate. I did let them know that I will be filing complaints with every agency I can think of. State Attorney General, BBB, every public rating service I can find, possibly any medical agencies as well. I also instructed them to cancel all appointments & procedures. I have already called my PCP and am getting a new referral at a completely different facility and let my doctor’s office know how grossly incompetent Heart Care of Waterford is.

While I was on the phone with my PCP’s office, the person waiting at the pharmacy texted me to tell me that the pharmacist at the drug store told him that this is a frequent problem with Heart Care of Waterford, and alluding to competency issues with them.

This is NOT acceptable to send someone on a 3 hour journey (round trip) only to be told that they can't even call in the prescription then. The physician’s assistant would have to and that was just too bad. I ended up just cancelling all appointments because if they are that incompetent with patient scheduling and prescriptions, I would fear for my life having any actual heart procedures done.
