We've been going to Healing Springs for a couple of years now. We're always very pleased. We feel like they offer an unusually high quality of care. We drive 30 miles to take our pets to Healing Springs.

I took a dog in just to have it's teeth cleaned. They give me my dog back with clean teeth, and I think all is well. Later I get a call from Dr. Jenkins. Apparently, they run blood tests because of the anesthetics, but they check all sorts of other things while they are testing the blood - because they have all the equipment there at the hospital. Dr. Jenkins found that my dog had early diabetes. I just took him in for a dental, and they found diabetes. I thought this thoroughness and follow-up was quite impressive.

I've always felt like they give me choices, and one of those choices is always a high end care choice. But when I want to take my dog in and just get a rabies shot, not pay for an exam or anything else, they let me. Everyone else shoves an exam down your throat, even if the dog is perfectly healthy, even if I just had an exam 3 months ago. Healing Springs seems like they respect my decision making capabilities and gives me options. They are open on Saturdays and 'till 7PM twice per week. This makes it easy to get in after my work hours. When my cat got cancer, they would even do the chemo there instead of shipping me off to Virginia Tech. It saved me a lot of money and Dr. Jenkins did a great job.

Sort of, I felt like they could be cleaner.
