Beware of this so-called vet.

This vet completely failed my cat. I saw her twice. She prescribed some kind of toxic pill and after he took them for one week, he lost all ability to hear, went totally deaf and stayed that way. I researched the pill she gave him and it clearly stated these pills can result in deafness. This woman has no scruples. I would have gone someplace else if I'd known what she was prescribing for him could cause this.

I called several times and was told I would get a call back. No call backs. I went in there a few more times and also got nothing resolved.

Good luck to you if you choose her for your vet.

They made a mistake with the liquid prescription medication and I ran out after 25 days instead of 50. They blamed it on me - that means I would have double dosed my dog, twice a day for 25 days. Dr Castro never called me to talk to me about what might have happened, and did not return my calls. They provided a refill in the same size bottle. This time I pulled up the doses in the bottle and counted them. I found my dog would run out in 25 days again. I notified Dr Castro via FAX because she wouldn’t return my calls. I have a new vet now. What really disappointed me was that Dr Castro has notices posted in treatment rooms about how she checks, double checks prescriptions- so don’t try to make excuses for missing medicine. I believed that and admired her for that. But it isn’t true, at least in two months of my dogs’ prescriptions. If not for the social distancing, I would have had her count the doses in front of me before taking that refill home. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism by Dr. Castro when I tried to get this straightened out. She not only refused to return my calls, but she threw away all of my correspondence to her regarding the prescription errors, according to her notes in my dogs medical record. She is a great vet, but I cannot trust her after this.

Hello everyone,
I just thought everyone should know what a caring veterinarian Dr.Kim Castro is. I operate the non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center since 2012, East Coast Wildlife Rehab here in Port Orange, Fl. We are always short of funds for Florida's native wildlife as we get no State or Government funding. It's also impossible to find a veterinarian that will even help us with the wildlife. Dr. Castro has not only seen our wildlife for free she has donated her time and funds to our cause. She has given us vital equipment to operate our medical facility, which include a bank of hospital cages, expensive books for learning that we could never have bought, autoclaves, plus other supplies we so desperately needed. Whenever we have called her she has always taken the time to help us. Thank you, Dr. Castro for being there for us, just thought everyone should know what you do for us, that no one hears about.
