Quality of care: VERY POOR
Administration is heartless! They have NO compassion for their residents... Unless your a close friend or family member of Keely, Treva or Janice! Was a GREAT place to visit my elderly friends when Patty Jo and Paua ran it... Although there is a frequent turn-over of staff, the "new", so called administration, have fired some of the BEST, CARING employees that had worked faithfully there since the place first opened! Its just SO sad to see the people that live there treated with such lack of dignity or respect! I DO NOT recommend Brookstone Estates in Harrisburg, IL to anyone!

This facility is lacking in several areas. Though it appears clean on the outside, there is a lot of DIRT that can be found on the inside.

Every time I come here I feel so unwelcome as soon as I enter the door. There is not a friendly soul in the place, besides the people that actually live there. I always leave feeling very confused and frustrated. I am nervous for the health of my loved one. They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency, unless you are looking for a cigarette, then you can find them located outside. As soon as I asked the staff for some assistance, it was obvious that they didn't want to help me at all. Their body language and attitude demonstrate their lack of passion for the field. They are simply going through the motions. They lack the social, emotional and physical skills necessary to be successful assistants to anyone. WARNING: This is not a place to leave your loved ones, as they WILL NOT receive the care they need.
