My Dad and Mom both had rehab here. They have a five star rating and it was reflected in their care. My dad also came here at the end of his life where they treated him with dignity and respect. Grateful to all the staff for their compassion and care.
After years watching my parents at the VEH I have seen better times and the decline. Things I remember in the past seem null now. My biggest concern is always their lack of help. The nurses and aids are over worked and when a patient calls for help the respond time is long to answer because they may be with another patient and there is only one or two aids on the floor to care for an abundance of residents. I am a daughter of a resident who has been there many years and I see this often. They keep building building and building, but where their money should go to is making the inside look as good as the outside.
This review is for the Administrator of East Harbor. My sincere thank you to Trisha Miller, (I had to ask for her last name) the knowledge of this gal is amazing. Through her, I was able to have "peace of mind" but more, the effort that she put in to help me get my "sister in-law" "Best Friend" where she is on the way to full recovery from a bad fall. Surgery, rehab, ect. Your facility was highly recommended by Dr.Balazy. I agree totally. Thank you Trisha, Thank you Trisha!!!. May I also add that your night phone staff, Silvia was also so helpful the night before with my concerns. For all of your dedicated staff, you should be very proud. Sincerely, Cathy Robinson
