This "Christian based" counseling center suggested a separation after 3 individual sessions with me and my ex-wife. The very first joint session is when it was suggested!!!!!
Seriously?
I understand that separation may be needed in situations of abuse, neglect, adultery, mental health or chemical abuse. This was not the situation. This was a 10 year marriage with a blended family that had many happy and successful years prior to running in to some issues.
I would NEVER suggest anyone use this counseling center.

The office people at Gentle Shepherd are WONDERFUL to work with. I have had absolutely no billing problems, and they have been so helpful with filling out any paperwork.

My counselor, Julie Arnould, is a cheerful, empathetic person to work with and has helped me a great deal. She is completely professional, capable, and caring.

I went to them for counseling and the office manager harassed me in front of everyone about my bill...one bill. She insisted it wasn't covered (and it was) and that they wanted the money right then and there or I couldn't go for my appointment, so I left. They then lied and tried to say they offered a discount etc etc. I felt like they were shaming in front of everyone in the waiting room even though my insurance does cover the visits! The next day I checked and indeed it was covered. But I would never go back here because I do not trust them at all. They do not care about people.

I went here a few times for counseling and it was a serious mistake. Particularly the counseling Julie Arnold has some serious problems and absolutely NO BUSINESS counseling anyone!!!! The staff at Gentle Shepherd is almost impossible to get a hold of and cannot answer any questions, particularly about their bills. I called at least 5 times and could not get anyone to even tell me how much money I owed. Over 2 months after I stopped going, I finally received a huge bill!!

These people are terrible. If you ant Christian counseling, go somewhere else.

No, they've never taken personal calls with me
Does this provider always take that extra step to make you feel special?
Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond
Were the staff members able to answer your questions?
They were rarely able to answer any of my questions
