After my detrimental experience with Ken Cope, I submitted a narrative of my experience to the Tennessee Health Related Board, after which they conducted their independent investigation of my claims for a year and a half. They concluded that this individual has been claiming to practice counseling, which he has no license to practice. Their legal department sent him a cease and desist letter early 2014, but will be taking no further action. If someone discovers that Ken Cope is continuing to practice counseling, it should be reported to law enforcement. I will not be taking further action. This man's actions came close to destroying my life, and I cannot take the risk of interacting with him again. The district attorney may or may not choose to press charges for such a matter, anyway, I've been told.

I went to this man many years ago and am shocked he is still in the business. He knew very little about counseling techniques or skills. Especially as a "Christian" counselor. Not at all. He said some very hurtful things to me that could have really steered my life in a bad direction. But I'm thankful that I didn't giveup and found a godly man that put me back on track.
I would suggest you stay away from this man. And didn't one of the other comments say he doesn't have a license? Doesn't surprise me.

Our situation has actually gotten worse since seeing them. I have noticed only negative changes; its very frustrating. Not only were they unwilling to seek any sort of advice from anyone else when they didn't have an answer for me, they highly discouraged me from seeking anyone else's opinion. I would never recommend them to anyone. They were terrible and almost made our problems worse.
