This Dr. & his staff are very well versed in the needs & treatment of those on the autism spectrum. It, at this point in time, is a lifelong neurological condition which is challenging for the client & his or her parents, siblings, & others. Of course we try any other community resources we can to help our child & ourselves, however, I have found that Dr. Amigo is the best in town at what he does (after several years of researching & trying other services), & we are insistent on getting the best possible help for our son.
Dr. & staff are patient, compassionate, yet realistic, & handle situations sensitively & professionally. If you can afford to involve your child/loved one in one of their social skills therapy groups, & their acting work shop as an adjunct to learning & socializing, I encourage it. This comes from a mom of a young teen on the autism spectrum as well as a licensed mental health professional. Don't skimp on your child-----the impact could be lifelong.

He seems incredible, I would have my daughter join in a heartbeat, even though she has mild problems. In the general picture she has difficultly making friends and knowing who is an appropriate mix with her. She goes to public main stream school and she is the only one with her deficits. She started a new school system last year. This year she is averaging 97 in all her classes. We have to work on Hygiene, her greetings and goodbyes. She told me she relates most to Meredith in the Documentary.

Getting an appointment wasn't difficult. Dr. is respected by his staff. The entire staff made me want to return all the more. They are among the best I have seen.
