Waited over a decade to leave a review but am finally safe now that my abusive ex is behind bars. Ms Wheeler openly doubted my reports of past physical abuse as well as continued harassment and threats while we were in co-parenting counseling with her. She was condescending and belittling to me in his presence which only encouraged his harassment. She was late to sessions, left me alone with him, forgot to document important discussions and honestly made a really difficult time so much worse and dangerous for me and my children. My ex went on to abuse several women after me and has finally been incarcerated but I do believe that Ms Wheeler empowered him. At the very least, she enabled my continued abuse.

Worst counselor I’ve ever known. She made our situation for both parents and our child much worse and it continues to suffer because of her. I’m my opinion she hates kids and wants honestly what is worst for them. As soon as she spoke her advice we both knew she was giving the worst and most hurtful advice possibly known. Unless you want your family and child to completely fail and fall apart, do not go to this woman and give her your hard earned money. She should lose her license and be jailed for the things she done to make childrens lives worse.

Did not feel listened to, got shut down on several instances. Was hoping to get an understanding professional who would help my ex and I get to underlying issues to co-parent effectively; instead we got a list of "do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that", that we could have gotten in any co-parenting book. So much for the expensive sessions. Co-parenting sessions cost close to twice a regular session, which is not an industry standard. She was also going to make me pay for my ex's fees.

She is judgemental and biased. Everything is in black and white for her views. She believed my husband's lies and continues to as he contacts her although we have not seen her for months. She was very unprofessional to me.
