Jim was the most empathetic person I've ever known. Yet, he had a way of holding me accountable even as he was understanding. I came away with strength and techniques I did not have before seeing him.

I had the privilege of having sessions w Jim Neuman while I was in high school ( and a bit in college) and his counselling was absolutely invaluable. Ten years on, and I still use what I learned in our sessions. The tools I gained through our work together have shaped my life for the better in significant, lasting ways. He is thoughtful, engaged, genuine, professional, and empowering. A warm thank you to Jim Neuman if he ever finds himself on this corner of the internet.

I would avoid Jim as a marriage counselor. He provided counseling to my husband and I before we got married and then repeatedly through our 25 year marriage. In the end, I found out that I was married to an emotionally abusive narcissistic man who put me in the hospital more then once. Jim never identified this at anytime during our counseling. The one man who probably could have saved me from 25 years of abuse let me down.
