We have seen DR Mitts for several years. He has a way of telling you exactly how it is without coming off harsh at all. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge, that you would never find in a inner city vet, you would have to go to specialist. He is a general vet who has trained in numerous specialties.
We lost 2 of our family members (lab brother's) this year with in a week of each other. Then their sister (owned by my father in law) passed just a few weeks later. Believe me when I say that their whole office was just as upset as we are. The whole staff is just wonderful.

Dr. Mitts has provided excellent care for my horses, dogs, and cats for over 20 years. He and his staff are responsive and caring professionals who take a genuine interest in the needs of their patients. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mitts to those looking for an excellent veterinarian.

We have gone to Dr. Mitts from time to time over the years but had never really settled with just one vet. Recently our dog became ill and became worse after being medicated for epilepsy by the vet we had been using for her. The other vet was unable to see us, but Dr. Mitts got us in and talked to us, offered options other than what we were doing. He saved her life that day as we were prepared to have her put to sleep. Over the course of the next two weeks I called Dr. Mitts office several times over concerns with how she was acting. Rather than forcing me to make an appointment and bring her in, Dr. Mitts spoke with me personally on the phone and discussed the issues we were having. In the end we did have to put our beloved pet to sleep, but we are thankful that we didn't rush to do that and that we had Dr. Mitts to help us through the process. Today I got a condolence card in the mail from the office. How truly thoughtful.
