We have been taking our pet's to Chester Vet for 17 years and they had always been great until several years ago when the practice was sold to "Dr. Eric". That's when it quit being about the animal and the owner and became more about the money. "Dr. Eric" has a HORRIBLE mannerism with your pets and in most cases is very non-caring towards them and towards you as an owner. I personally quit taking my dog to him almost two years ago due to poor interactions and a pure lack of knowledge about the breed. My wife continued out of loyalty to take her dog and our cat. Bad mistake, because the service has gotten even worse. "Dr. Eric" called my wife and erupted on her after she inquired why a referral wasn't done to a specialist because "Dr. Eric" didn't have the knowledge to treat her dog. She had waited nearly three weeks to follow up to see why he hadn't done his job and completed the referral. He said she was no longer able to bring her animals to his clinic to which I said thank GOD because they will probably have a better quality of life without "Dr. Eric" in it. He is completely narcissistic and believes himself to be way more competent than his work would represent. This clinic has gone so far down hill under his ownership that I cannot describe. Like I said, I quit taking my dog because he was less knowledgeable than most vet techs with the breed. If you want to go to a vet where he believes he is GOD's gift to the animal world and your pets and yourself will be treated poorly then you have found the place. "Dr. Eric" and I say that lightly shouldn't be permitted to run a worm farm. Good luck but more importantly good luck to your pets if you choose the great "Dr. Eric".

I have brought my animals to this clinic for years. I have always had good experiences with the different vets that worked there. But when I brought my dog there today, I was pleasantly surprised that the new vet was even better than the prior ones. He explained everything thoroughly, gave us options on different treatments, and actually let us know the cost of some treatments ahead of time. He also handled my feisty Jack Russell easily. I am extremely pleased with Dr. Dougherty and I believe anyone would be pleased with his services.

I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. The chairs in their waiting room were definitely above average. I was comfortable. I felt 'heard' by this provider. They listened to me and I am really impressed with their apparent concern for my well being. I was so happy with my appointment! I'll be telling friends and family about this good experience. They seem to make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to and address every question or concern I may have. Vicki and Dr Eric are wonderful. Vicki has gone out of her way to help me with owning a big dog for the first time, a rottweiler. She is so knowledgable and has given me great advice and tips on how to make her the perfect dog. She has been so wonderful to my dog and family. We all think she is the best.

My Baby was diagnosed with Congestive Heart disease...the vets and staff made sure I understood her symptoms, care, medications and expectations. I have complete faith in their care. The staff went above and beyond to make my Baby and me feel at home.
When my Baby reached the end of her time, this unbelievably caring team held me while I held her. She is at peace and I am deeply grateful for their compassion.
I have taken my animals here for 25 years and would go nowhere else.

I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. The examining rooms at their office were clean and free of odor. I can tell they really strive to keep their office looking and smelling nice. unfortunatly after getting our 6 month old kitten her vaccines and getting her spayed and declawed in september she developed on and off loose stools, our othe cat ate the same food and had no problems, they gave us an antibiotic and probiotics seemed to thicken the stool but they never returned to normal, over the remaining 2 months the on and off loose stools had blood in it, never will mess with nature and have another cat spayed because something drastically changed internally after the spay was done, at the age of 8 months she was so sick and we were on the verge of being bankrupt we had to have her put down to end her suffering, RIP my friend
