A fabulous DVM and person. My wife's family dog a English Springer Spaniel named cookie went to him for treatment all the way from Westchester county NY. When We married she was a product manager on brand Gaines dog food. The hamburger like patties (the "soft and Moist Division) according to Gil had so much added sugar that they caused diabetes like symptoms in puppies. Gil said always use a dry dog food with little fillers like wheat and oats and add warm water too make it easier to chew for puppies or aged dogs.

Can't say enough good things about Gil as a vet and a person and his lovely bride Elaine also. Who dated Steve Ross later chairmen of Warner Brothers Studios when he was a pants salesmen in the garment did district in lower Manhattan in the 1950's when they were both single.
