I have had nothing but wonderful care for my pets front Dr. Sector. Have been a mother of his patients for years. They take the time for you and your pet no matter what. I switched to another doctor just out of curiosity but soon came back.

I see that Dr. Secter has mostly favorable reviews; unfortunately I must disagree. I have been a client here for two years, but am now shopping for a new vet. Every time I bring my animals in, even for simple vaccinations, there is pressure to buy goods and services I did not bring them for. Sometimes these are even added onto the bill and I am not told about them until the end of the visit. It can be quite a shock to be told in advance a procedure will be $175.00 and then be charged $250.00 at the end of the visit. I might add that these added charges are not for essentials but for unnecessary testing and medications. If you protest the added charges, the staff is very short with you and implies that if you really loved your pet you would be willing to spend anything they say! If I didn't love my pets I wouldn't be taking them to a vet at all, but my budget doesn't have room for a lot of unnecessary extras, and they seem not to understand that. Frankly, I feel like I'm being milked.
But recently I took my 11 month old German shepherd pup to be neutered. Although he is not aggressive, the staff seemed terrified of him because of his size. If they are unwilling to handle large breeds, perhaps they should specify that to clients. I was told he was being neutered by laser method, but I suspect he was done by scalpel instead. At home that entire night he cried in pain. I have had several animals neutered, and never have I seen one in such post-operative pain. When I contacted the office, they were unconcerned about his discomfort, but told me they would sell me an elizabethan collar for $20! After his sutures are removed- because for some reason the vet did not use dissolving sutures- I will not be taking him back there. Ever.

They have a very good professional reputation. I know that I'm under the care of an expert; however, some of the staff members could use a course in customer care because they have been known to be rude and snappy. The staff and doctor due maintain a professional appearance. The chairs in the waiting area are pretty average but the facility and exam rooms are very clean and neat (better than most human doctor offices you see anymore!) There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking.

I will continue to go to Dr. Sector because he shows a true sense of caring and compassion for my animals and although his staff may not always reflect that he is the greatest. He takes the time to answer questions and does not give you the feeling you are just a number which is why I don't mind the wait as he gives all of his furry patients and their humans the time needed to understand the needs.
