Nothing was accomplished during my pet's appointment. I was extremely dissatisfied with both the veterinarian and how things went. Not only did they not welcome my questions, they just dismissed them as unimportant. I felt like they didn't really care about helping me. I don't think they were very experienced or well-trained. They didn't know what they were doing at all.
My dog was ultrasounded -- focal ultrasound -- for bloody urine. But they did not ultrasounds the abdomen where the kidney cancer was or suggest that I get another professional ultrasound (which I delayed on -- due to my poor judgement -- just too many things going on) and by then the cancer had spread. I am not blaming the vet (I could have gone to Cornell animal hospital sooner to get the correct ultrasound - but got sidetracked with other problems), but he and his staff suggested neutering my dog and I was not informed of the difference between a focal ultrasound and a regular abdominal ultrasound. He would have been a neutered dog with probable kidney cancer, although I will know for sure when I get the necropsy what the cancer was.

Absolutely, they usually call more times than they say they promised. I was fully informed the whole time.
Did you leave the animal hospital feeling satisfied with your visit?
Completely!

Not at all! They were always present and attentive

We've been visiting this office since 1996. In my opinion, it would be nearly impossible to find a better staff of doctors to care for your beloved friends. Doctor Bostley is an awesome doctor and surgeon, Dr. Cousins and Dr Shemanski are phenomenal doctors and people to work with. We've seen Dr. Lenhard only several times over the years but have complete confidence in him and all of them.
We don't ever seem to bring minor problems to the hospital. Our second Scottie was just diagnosed with two forms of cancer. There is no better place to have her treated.
