Go to RWJ instead!
If I could I would give them 0 stars! They are horrible pediatric ER. I want to point out doctor's name as well. Dr Devli was on duty when my kid was admitted. She is very rude. I just went to ask if I can give water to my kid and she freak out on me. She told me that I am disturbing her every five minutes with such questions. Like seriously😡! Being concerned parent I asked her that question for the first time after appendix test! BTW I am not a doctor who knows that we need to wait for report then depending on that we can give water to patient!! I also freak out and told her that let's check all camera recordings if I had visited her (which I had not for sure). She should understand parents are also panicing!

I will never visit JFK again in future!

Dr. Henderson, emergency room physician, who not only makes his patients wait for over 2 hours before even muttering their name, ( no, he was not with other patients, he sat 20 feet across from me the entire time ) is extremely unprofessional and rude to the staff there, he purposely makes a point of making sure patients are looking on to see his belittling of the staff. 2 hours nothing done, refused to look at an x-Ray I had 3 hours prior when I was referred to JFK , stating he wouldn't be able to use the disc and that was radiologies job, who was not In house since it was after 4 on a Sunday, walked out after telling him how rude he was to the staff. Supervisor set me up with Dr. Joshi, who read the disc, referred me to a surgeon. in and out in 30 minutes. Dr Henderson, as well as JFK hospital administration should be ashamed of his behavior and blatant disregard of the oath he took when becoming a physician.

Went to JFK emergency room by ambulance because I had a diverticulitis flare up, my stomach was distended and I was in severe pain. The ambulance brought me in put me in a wheelchair and I was left to wait in the waiting room. Then I was called into the "nurse" to be assessed and vitals taken, I told her my pain level was a 10 my stomach was blown out...she was rude, uncaring. She gave off the impression with her slouched posture that we were bothering her. After that I was sent back out to the waiting room then called back into the registration room. I asked how much longer I would have to wait because my pain was getting worse the woman told me I had to go ask the "nurse" my daughter went in to ask and the "nurse" because my pain was getting worse and she could care less said there was 4 people ahead of me. So the fact I came in via ambulance made no difference in the world! The emergency room itself was not that bad. But the check in people and how they treat you even if you come in with an ambulance it horrible. I have never been to a hospital that when you get taken in by ambulance you are placed in a waiting room.
I would NEVER in my life go back to JFK emergency room I would rather die!

Please be careful and double-check everything Doctors do or ask you to do. It may hurt a Doctors ego to look up something on the internet in their sight but believe me, they will not treat your loved ones better or worse.I am glad for all the reviews in here praising the Doctors and the Hospitals. I am glad you got good service. Here is my Story.I took my son (3 and half year old) running a temperature of 105 consistently for an hour (yes, I gave him fever reducer and placed cold towels on his neck and forehead.)They took an X-ray - diagnosed Pneumonia medication - Antibiotics for Adults ( I forget the name) that made him poop severely for two daysInhaler for adult Asthma patientsTwo days later our Pediatrician retrieved X-ray from JFK and saw no signs of Pneumonia. Also there was no need for an inhalerHe just had a bad case of ear infection. This Doctor looked into his ears - not sure what she was looking at but apparently did not see the infection. Thankfully my Son is OK.I wanted to sue the Hospital and the Doctor but no Lawyer would touch the case as my Son is OK (which is a shame)I wanted to pursue the case myself without an attorney but you need a specialist (in my case an emergency room pediatrician) to sign off that there was mis-diagnosis, which is an out of pocket expense for me.Bottom line - GOOD NEWS for DOCTORS - Unless there is visible severe injury because of a misdiagnosis the misdiagnosis will go un-punishedIf you are a regular Joe parent (read NO MONEY) and your child was mildly harmed you need to suck it up and stay quiet because the red tape will not let you touch the Hospital/Doctor with a 10-foot pole.
