I remain thankful to you and your colleagues for the wonderful and compassionate care you provided for my wife during her stay at kindred hospital Ontario. The daughter of a marine, born at MCB Camp Pendleton, she dedicated her life to supporting our troops. You touched our lives with skills beyond our comprehension in an effort to enable us to return to our own calling which provides us with a greater sense of purpose. Through your work you enable others to return to their own contribution to the world around us. Thank you!
I have to take this moment to share my experience with my father who had the honor and privilege of being a patient here at Kindred hospital Ontario. He arrived here late August initially in the DOU. The nurses in this unit took to him right away. He developed a relationship with them different than any other hospital and he has been at many. These staffers treated him with love and compassion rarely seen or experienced anywhere. A couple of weeks later he was transferred to unit 3. I was apprehensive at first but was quickly won over by the love of the nursing staff, doctors, and RTs and cleaning staff. Each one who interacted with my father showed him a care, compassion, love and hope seldom found. They hat tended to his needs quickly and thoroughly. When there was an issue it was quickly resolved. His last days on earth were cared for with such compassion and love that I would gladly recommend this facility to anyone who needs their services. B.E
I was admitted to Kindred hospital with a diagnosis of Guillain Barre Syndrome. I was unable to walk, talk eat or drink. After an extensive treatment at the VA and a hospital in Redlands I was transported to kindred hospital in Ontario. While at Kindred I was re-diagnosed with CIDP. Thank god for kindred and its medical staff. I improved rapidly at kindred due to the rehab team and the attention received from nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and follow through by the patient relations representative. By the time I was discharged I was able to transfer with minimal assist from a wheelchair to a walker. The entire team in unit 2 showed a genuine concern for my welfare and I will forever be grateful for the care that I received. I believe had it not been for the Good Lord sending us to Kindred, I would not be writing in a positive way now.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all that took care of my mom at Kindred Ontario. Throughout the years as a nurse I have dealt with patients and their families and know that when there is a nurse in the family it can sometimes make it more stressful as you feel they are judging everything you do. Well you are right, we are. However while my mom was here, I was just not a nurse watching her care I was a family member. I have to say that not only did she feel she got the best care possible, so did I see it in all the people who would stop by and check on her. She indicated if she got sick again she did not want to go to San Antonio or kaiser but directly here. Now that says a lot.
The nurses and staff are very courteous and attentive to my needs. I came in to the ICU and recovered very well. They took great care of me and I was on a vent. I don't have any tubes or any oxygen now and have recovered fast. I have progressed a lot in a short time. Physical therapy came in quick and got me moving right away and pushed me to do more. It helped a lot. It's been an incredible recovery thanks to all the staff. Everything and anything I need is taken care off.
To all the employees of Kindred Hospital-Ontario My family and I are extremely grateful for the care, compassion, quality and professionalism that was provided to our mom during her entire stay at Kindred Hospital-Ontario. It was comforting to know that my mom was well taken care of during her stay. Our prayers were answered! There are so many employees to thank, our thanks goes out to EVERYONE, that we came across was a blessing from the time of admission to our discharge. My mom's mission was accomplished of hope, healing and recovery, which is the mission of Kindred. With all our love and appreciation, Harriett R., Mary Campbell and Family
Upon admission being this Was our first LTAC we did not know what to expect. Anxieties were high and the path uncertain. However the staff on unit 2 from the doctors, RNs, LVNs, CNAs and housekeeping made the transition here much easier. Each day the plan of care was revealed and the journey to recovery was on. The collaborative team approach with PT, OT and wound care to rehab my mom has been awesome. Also the acute hemodialysis team has been very kind and diligent in dialyzing my mom who presents with such LOw BP. She made It through her treatment. Much gratitude to the social services and patient relation is rep. For their kindness and support. The overall experience at kindred hospital has been a positive one. I will forever be grateful for the compassion and care we received. God Bless you! Joanna T.
