Huge fan of Dr. Marc Shulman of Long Island Psychology. He has a really kind and comforting presence that I appreciate, and I think the mix of approaches that he uses to address my needs makes him a really good therapist for me, and probably everyone, since he doesn't utilize only one approach when others may be equally valuable. I would recommend him to everyone and already have for a few of my close friends.

When I originally found Marc I was looking for a long island therapist to help with my anxiety, and I liked him a lot but since my anxiety wasn't too bad I didn't really think about it. But later we also went to him for marriage counseling and I thought he was great. Really fair to both of us and I didn't feel at all like he was assuming only one of us was at fault, which I was worried about.

So yeah... I would definitely recommend him as a couples counselor for people on Long Island. I think he has two offices or something too.

I have worked with Dr. Shulman for the past 2 months and he has shown skill and competence in treating a very complex situation. Dr. Shulman was honest and forthcoming in terms of what I can expect from therapy right from the start, and he has shown skill, experience, patience and care in my treatment. Dr. Shulman has also been very generous with his time. I already see a positive impact from therapy in this short time. I highly recommend Dr. Shulman if you are looking for experience, skill, honesty and compassion.

I loved working with Dr. Shulman! He was kind, compassionate and insightful.He really cares about his patients. Dr. Shulman helped me work on issues that were affecting my marriage and contributing to my depression and anxiety. I feel like I have a better understanding of myself and the tools to deal with every day life. I highly recommend him!
