Awful service. Went four years ago and am scarred to this day. Won't walk into the hospital. I get scared thinking about the day I spent there. I have gotten mentally healthy, but with NO help from them. It was more like a setback. I would never recommend treatment here. I am scarred and need help because of it.

This program exists solely to submit exorbitant bills to the insurance companies of patients fortunate enough to have good coverage. A very substandard team of psychiatrists provide care on this unit where appropriate medical and/or psychiatric histories are not taken. Every effort is made to prolong the stays of patients on this unit, even those who have stabilized or were stable upon admission.

Absolutely terrible! Our family member was misdiagnosed by a member of the inpatient treatment team at the Center for Mental Health at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. Furthermore, the staff on this unit appears to work very hard to extend inpatient stays, with limited therapeutic assistance available. Many of the nurses and clinicians are very kind and understanding, but the care is substandard.
