I can't believe she's still alive! Unfortunate. My review is simple and brief. Untrustworthy, biased, deceptive, snarky, offensive, insulting, and ignorant. She has Ruined many families and lives. She also is very close to the juvenile domestic courts. If you know what I mean. Please do not make the same mistake I did. However I was court ordered to pay this gross woman. To ruin my life and my daughter's lives. I'm being completely honest with my review.

No, I never saw one

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond

Briefly, but they didn't make an effort to help me

I had the SAME EXACT experience as IP address ...25.242 ie Reviewer #1. My judge however was Judith Craddick. I believe it was and is a complete scam and financial shake down between Becking and the Judge. This female should be retired by now, she is TOO old to still be effective or relevant.
Becking, too, took numerous calls from my alcoholic abusive ex and was very curt toward me. Yes, she too flat-out lied about many aspects, if not allow, of the evaluation to make my the long time documented abuser ex, whom she too seemed smitten with, appear divine before Craddick-the judge. It didn't take much to do that as Craddick was overly accommodating toward him already. But in speaking with me both Becking and Craddick were harsh and abrupt. This is how I, too, can conclude that Becking is part of the ole boys/good ole pal program in Contra Costa/the Bay area.
At trial, I was late and she smirked and said, "you're too late, it's over" as we passed on the staircase...a 'real' professional.... Becking had sealed the nail in my coffin, re our daughter, and on the advisement of Becking's bogus report Craddick concluded that I was likely to parentally alienate our daughter. Hence, I have not seen nor heard from our daughter in over 7 years but he gets my illegally accrued and growing arrears laden child support check every month while telling her I am dead, literally. Fabulous job Marlene Becking, just what the Family code prescribes!
If a judge or attorney suggests this tool IMMEDIATELY make a preemptory challenge and have her removed from your case. She is one of the worse!
She ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left as Becking twisted my words to accommodate her agenda. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.

I am more than happy to help others make the right choice while searching for a Mental Health Specialist in the Walnut Creek area. Do not use MARLENE BECKING!!!!!! Really her professional unethical misconduct is no laughing matter, especially if she is a hired gun to evaluate you and your minor children in the family law courts with her good ole pal, commissioner Josanna Berkow.
Run don't walk for the hills...Marlene deliberately lies, she's a fraud just like Berkow. She writes her own evaluations according to who she likes the best, father or mother...With the intention to help keep your case in court for years and years to benefit her and Berkow. $$$ She is a liar in and out of court. She has great potential to destroy your life if she doesn't like you. Women be ware she really like my ex-husband, although he was an alcoholic and tested very poorly she lied in court on his behalf....She was smitten by his charm looks and networth...She never recommended to Berkow some form of substance abuse program. She never recommended to Berkow for him to take parenting classes eventhough he was an absent father in our daughter's lives and never paid any attention to them. My ex couldn't even remember their names or birthdays. He was verbally abusive to them, the list goes on......He walked on water with her. As a matter of fact when Marlene did a in home evaluation at his house she stayed two days longer with him at his house...She would call at all times of the day and night to talk to my ex. Mind you he was still drinking...They would email each other. She wouldn't even take or return my calls....Getting the picture? She picks sides and no matter what proof you have that you are the more invested parent and have raised and bonded with your children she will give Berkow a bunch of lies about you and your children then you're screwed. She is a shady old lady with a horrible dispositon and attitude. She seems to hate people, herself and the world she lives in. I would to if I were her. It's all about the $$$$, don't get it twisted....goodluck out there in Walnut Creek.
