I am in the medical profession and have found Dr. Ronald Cohen to be an excellent provider in his field. I find him professional, attentive, and exceptionally devoted .
By the time he answers phone calls, answers texts, calls to order dinner, eats his dinner, talks about other patients, and talks about his kids.. You might have a minute or two for yourself.
I am in the mental health field and find Dr. Cohen to be a great therapist, especially for young adults and adolescents. The environment is excellent and he is flexible, supportive and engaging.
Disgusting. Constantly talking about himself and other clients. If I am paying you I don't want to hear your stories or what your other clients are doing.
So much worng with this guy. he puts the fee above all else, as in he mnakes you drive to him even in the middle of a blizzard and 2 ft of snow on the floor. If you are vulnerable, he certainly will take advantage of that, so do not be afraid to stand up to him. His practices really do come off as money-hungry, but I guess it goes with the keeping-up-with-Jonses manhasset lifestyle. When you are in his office, he behaves like he is in his home: eating, taking care of personal business on his cellphone for half the session while you sit there in front of him. As I stated earlier, this man is a crook and only about money, not therapy. And, yes, he was prosecuted for insurance fraud.
After my son seeing three other psychotherapists Dr. Cohen was the only one whom he formed a bond with and who he will willingly see consistently. He is flexible with young people and has extensive knowledge in family therapy as well as interpersonal dynamics. He is extremely compassionate and non-judgemental.
He was recommended by our school psychologist and his work with my children to be insightful Dr. Cohen has been incredibly insightful. he is available by cel-phone. I read all the reviews and having formed my own opinion, will honestly say that he is an excellent practitioner --especially for kids with substance abuse issues.
