Does lifelong damage to you and your child. No conscience. Avoid at all costs. Clearly in profession for strictly monetary reasons.

Dr. Coutu (also known as Bob Coutu) has no understanding of difficult relationships or relationships with NPD involved, although he claims to. He did serious psychological damage to my kids (I'm writing this several years later) by not listening to them. He doesn't think out of the box and is judgemental. At this point, having since run into people who also used his services, I hear nothing but criticism. You can't force kids to want to be with a parent. That comes over time. The huge amount of money he charged my family for essentially psychologically harming us all permanently is staggeringly unethical. And there seems to be no way to hold him accountable. My kids have no more college savings, but I'm sure he has a gorgeous home, summer home, and other luxuries he's bought with the money he took from so many families. Run the opposite direction if you hear his name. If he has any high ratings, they are likely from colleagues who are similarly out of touch with their patients, not from parents.

I have to say that this provider has truly earned my confidence. A perfect combination of communicating concern while maintaining appropriate professional bearing. Non-argumentative, a real listener, something that makes his comments all the more powerful and helpful. Obviously a highly skilled therapist. I would wholeheartedly endorse.
