RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! ... Terrible therapist with lack of empathy or consideration!!... She is a scam and writes down all your info to share with others!!!... Scary ... I don’t know how she is licensed... or if she is?

Dr. Lovece is a wonderful psychologist. She isn't textbook at all and because of her experience she is able to give people many different view points. I can't thank her enough for all of her help and she is one of the best I have seen over the years.

I had seen different therapists on and off for some time when I was referred to Dr. Lovece by my internist. After years of feeling like no one was listening, I finally was able to receive genuine feedback regarding my situation. The time I spend with Dr. Lovece is by far the most productive therapeutic sessions I have ever experienced. The insight she provides during sessions has often assisted me in coping with my daily challenges. It is not uncommon for Dr. Lovece to call later in the evening, or on weekends, to check on my well-being. Among the many people I know who have been in therapy, none have ever had the complete access to their therapist which Dr. Lovece constantly provides. I truly believe she is the most sincere, caring person I have ever met, personally or professionally.

In my experience, Dr. Lovece is very text book and term oriented, and lacks empathy or a spiritual depth. It seemed she has shut this down in herself. I found her extremely out of touch and as such, sadly incompetent. She tripped herself up with obsessive journal reference, and lacked insight. My impression is that her own deep personal issues have caused her to work too clinically, and less therapeutically. She shared that she has come to the suburbs to work w suburban women after a long, trying career in forensic psychology with male prisoners, evaluating and treating violent criminals who have committed the most heinous of acts. I fear this is not the appropriate background for a career switch to "womens' issues". She surprised me by having very little familiarity and no personal experience w the most common womens' issues: Motherhood, chaotic family life and the stressors related to being a caregiver. She did seek to empower w praise and suggesting meditation, but it was far too methodical (xeroxed) and text book based. I wish her all the best in her own personal journey.
