Be aware. See attached link from the CA Board os Psychology outlining disciplinary actions against Dr. Marlene Valter.
DO NOT let this woman anywhere near your children and/or in your home. She is very dangerous. I suggest anyone who had a child custody evaluation after the time of her disciplinary actions seek legal advice.

0 Stars if it were allowed. Dangerously unprofessional. As someone else said, came across as "nice" then disappeared for months. Most importantly, lacks fundamental knowledge in her field. Should not be allowed to practice.

She was a nice person, but went dark during after a few months. She was supposed to be overseeing calls between my girls and I. After a few months there were no scheduled calls and I never heard from her again. I put down a $2,000 dollar retainer because my ex-wife requested from the court that she be involved. Less than 90 minutes of my retainer was used and I was never able to her to refund the remainder.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. This woman is crazier than the normal people she considers crazy and the crazy people she says are normal! If you have been unfortunate enough to have this person completely destroy your life I feel your pain! But I have also heard from the Ventura court, several attorneys and several REAL therapists that woman has no right to be practicing custody evaluations and that she probably shouldn't be allowed to consider herself a psychologist either. HELP ME GET THIS WOMAN'S PRACTICING LICENSE REVOKED!!
