Based on personal experience I would urge anyone seeing this provider to be very, very careful. This provider's care was not a positive experience for me, and I am relieved I found a way to leave. I was told I was psychotic--I am not, and there was never a test that indicated this. This was some kind of personal judgement of theirs, the kind that can have enormous negative impact on a client. This provider talked with me about their own personal problems in individual therapy sessions and group therapy, including their thought disorders. I witnessed problems with other clients in a group therapy setting that were upsetting. I knew them to utilize a client in my group with financial trouble to clean their home in lieu of payment for services, and then get upset for them being in their home to clean and complain about the client's boundaries. This was not the right position to put a client with psychological problems in, and probably exacerbated them. I also witnessed them belittle a client with a social services background for offering insights based on their experience. I also saw several people develop debilitating memory issues under their care, and some seemed to be false memories--when put on the spot to discuss this in a group therapy setting, the provider brushed it off. I experienced positive developments in my life AFTER leaving this provider's care, and watched others remain in their care longer and get nowhere.
They would not leave me alone, and kept suggesting that I buy products that I felt were completely unnecessary. They weren't affordable at all. I practically went broke after just one appointment. The chairs in their waiting room weren't the best but they served their purpose and I couldn't complain. They barely gave me any information at all. I guess I'm going to have to ask someone else to answer my questions. I was somewhat uneasy during my appointment. I was never able to fully relax.
