I wish they gave me good advice, but most of the time they only give me advice that would benefit them. They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods. My appointments always get canceled last minute here. It is really frustrating and really unprofessional in my opinion. They weren't very understanding or caring, and they didn't show empathy for my situation. I could tell I wasn't their primary concern. Not only did they rush my appointment, they practically hurried me out the door. They only wanted my money, they didn’t care about me.
Dr. lied to me, telling me there was a new law to decrease strength and length of time for prescriptions I was taking. As soon as I came in to her office, she proceeded to tell me this lie, and immediately after, not even allowing me to ask any questions, she stated once again this was a new law, that she didn't have any time to explain it, and that I had to come back in two weeks. Except for my very first visit, my visits with her never lasted more than three minutes, which was the time she needed to write a prescription. l I spent days contacting pharmaceutical companies, as well as the FDA, only to find out that her statements were false. There was never any exchange in conversation, or even a simple, tactful manner by her, to lead me to believe that she cared about me, or how I felt. I am presently looking for a new provider who will not make me feel rushed or unimportant, or as if I am a nuisance to her. I saw other patients spending a much longer length of time with her, which led me to think that maybe this was insurance related.
Officially, she appears as a counselor and clinical psychologist, as well as psychiatrist. The only service she ever provided for me, was that of writing prescriptions for me, insisting that I see her twice per month. Again, this particular request from her, I believe, was insurance driven.
