Quality depends on individual therapists, so you would do well to consult / interview these before you commit to a first-time therapy appointment. The business itself, run by two therapist/owners, is poorly managed. I NEVER got a call back from one of the owners despite several messages. Hope that nothing goes wrong with your bill because it will never get straightened out. And your therapist won't know a thing about billing or insurance so you will be fighting the front office yourself. Good luck getting through on the phone. And hope you don't need your therapist after hours. They are being investigated for fraudulent billing by Medicare.

This has got to be the WORST practice in Hampton Roads, complete chaos when u walk in the front door. Building is nice (dirty) but nice.......it stops there. I was scheduled with a therapist Harriet Barnes-Parker, filled out my paperwork and waited. She came out (I recognized her from the website) took one look at me and went behind the front desk. 5 min later the receptionist tells me I would have to be rescheduled with another therapist. I overheard the front desk staff mumble "how are we suppose to know their color over the phone" the therapist went back in her office and shut the door. It was clear that I (a white woman) was NOT what she chooses to see and that practice allows it!!!!!! I would never step foot back in that place again and HARRIET BARNES-PARKER should have her license investigated for racial discrimination. Horrible place to condone such behavior!

I am upset I have to give this business even one star. When I took my child to this place they decided to put her on medicine after only one time of seeing her. I objected to this practice because I did not feel there was enough Behavioral Therapy to back up the medication. I was even threatened by Dr. Brockman with reporting me to "authorities" if I chose not to keep my child on the medicine. He did so in front of the appointment windows with other staff listening as well as other patients within ear shot. He not only violated my child's Hipaa rights but mine as her parent. When I decided I would give this place another chance my child was taken to Miss Jacobs. My child hadn't even been to her but 3 times before Miss Jacobs starting calling CPS. Miss Jacobs refused to speak to me and was rude to me on more than one occasion. While it is my understanding that the therapists of Rock Landing are/ or won't be involved in court or legal matters as per their policy. Miss Jacobs took it upon herself to show up to my custody hearing on her day off. In her testimony she perjured herself. She stated a number of untrue things that I have proof of not existing or being factual. She had no physical proof or Objective data to back up her testimony. I find her to be rude and unethical. I will be reporting her to the Virginia Board of Psychology. I will also be having my Lawyer file a motion with the evidence I have to have her charged with perjury.

During an intense after hours decision process called to speak with a psychiatrist and our psychiatrist called back instead of the on-call. Provider spent a good amount of time on the phone and provided advice we needed. Normal appointments are great, timely, minimal waits and the facility and staff is very nice.

Awful. One initial appointment, a follow up scheduled, cancelled, cancelled again, and then dropped off of the radar. No thanks.
