Dr. Stark is a good therapist. I was put off by the bad reviews, until I realized they are all from one disgruntled patient (the bad grammar and similarity in names gives it away) She is empathetic, has a sense of humor, and a good curiosity. She creates a welcoming enviroment and has been a great help to me.

As someone who was referred to Dr.Stark and found her to be awful as to having any sense of direction and being able to assist and I believe completely lacking ethics I strongly encourage my fellow New Yorkers to avoid her as there are so many excellent psychologists in our Manhattan worthy of our time ,money and honesty who can actually help.

I strongly recommend that any patient needing a psychologist in Manhattan who is going to help you get better, having a consistent approach to her patients,with a sense of ethics that are beyond compromise,stay far away from Dr.Stark.Yes, she listens,but this a lot of it is BS,no sense that she can truly help,and there are so many very good psychologists in Manhattan that also take most insurance plans and through referrals from friends and other Internet sites, your PCP,hospitals,and other sites that can be perused to find the excellent Dr.'s who care ,and can really help and have ethics, that are available to you in a time of crisis in NYC again stay away from Dr.Stark,you have been warned

Dr.Stark lacks direction,and in the time I saw her I gained little insight,and I would never recommend her,in fact I would advise anyone needing a psychologist to look elsewhere.It is also difficult to reach her and receive calls back and very difficult to gain an appointment when you most need one.I do not understand how she appears to be as popular as she is but do avoid her.

Dr.Stark seems well meaning but she accomplished very little for me and gave me very little insight.I came away very disappointed and disillusioned as her approach seemed all over the map and was not what I was looking for in a psychologist and as such I would never recommend her, and I inten to stop seeing her and find another Dr,which I understand happens more than not.

Poor communication skills,does not know the subject matter nearly as well as you would want a psychologist to know.I would not recommend her.
